This is true ball ammunition, loaded with 55 grain full metal jacket bullets just like the military’s 5.56 M193 spec ammo. The bullet will clear a 20” barrel at a velocity of 3,240 fps, conserve about 1,000 ft lbs of kinetic energy when it reaches 100 yards, and exhibit a flat enough trajectory to make short-to-mid range target practice fun and easy.
