Once Winchester created the bullet’s concentric copper-alloy jacket, they used its tip’s small opening to fill it with liquid lead. That’s why the open tip’s core is virtually flawless, which ensures excellent in-flight stability.
This round’s bullet also features a flat base instead of a boat tail, which enhances consistency by providing a uniform surface for propellant gasses to push against.
