Fiocchi’s Field Dynamics 30-06 ammunition is loaded with 150 grain projectiles. They’re relatively lightweight bullets, and boast a swift 2,910 fps muzzle velocity because of it. By Fiocchi’s own measure, this round has a 0.38 G1 ballistic coefficient. That means the bullet overcomes frontal air resistance effectively enough to hit a 200-yard target without exhibiting a trajectory that rises more than 2.5” above the bore line.
The 150 grain pointed soft point doesn’t just win points for its flatter trajectory. The tough .30 cal slug plows deeply into dense muscle and organs, and it widens out right up until it comes to a rest within its target – or possibly on the other side of its target, depending on where you aim and how close you’re aiming from.
