The Extreme Point’s smooth meplat makes it highly aerodynamic. The 130 grain bullet’s 0.384 G1 ballistic coefficient reflects its flat trajectory, which will rise by only 0.51” en route to a 100-yard zero, 2.22” to a 200-yard zero, 5.45” to a 300-yard zero, or 10.69” to a 400-yard zero. The bullet conserves a minimum of 1,000 ft lbs of energy until it reaches an impressive 540 yards!
The Extreme Point’s polymer tip also enhances its terminal performance. Because the tip’s base is so wide in diameter, it greatly accelerates terminal expansion beginning at the exact instant of impact. Its tip continues to fan out the Extreme Point’s contoured jacket throughout penetration while its alloyed lead core provides the weight retention needed for a lethally deep wound channel.
Winchester’s American-made brass cases aren’t quite as exciting as the bullets they seat, but they are reliable and reloadable.
