At 123gr, these are more on the light sight for weight in 7.62x39mm ammo, meaning that there will be less of a kick to your shoulder when the rifle is fired, providing for faster follow up shots. These rounds will deliver a muzzle energy of 1,495 feet per pound, and a muzzle velocity of 2,350 feet per second.
These are full metal jacket rounds, so because of the lead bullets being encased in harder metal, they can deliver more muzzle velocity. Brass cased rounds are also favored by a large majority of American shooters, and with good reason. Brass cased rounds are significantly more reliable then steel cased rounds, with a much less likely chance of jams and stoppages. Also, many shooters feel the brass cases are easier on the internal components of your firearm than steel can be.
In addition, boxer primers are the standard for primers in American markets. This is because the location of the anvil is separate from the primer, making the empty cartridges much easier to reload. This is a much more economical choice for some shooters, instead of simply buying more boxes of ammo.
