This cartridge is loaded with the same kind of bullet our Armed Forces use for training with the M4 carbine: the 55 grain full metal jacket boat tail. The FMJBT is utilized for combat applications, although its complete inability to exhibit terminal expansion makes it less than optimal for personal protection. The FMJBT’s simple and cost-effective design includes a hard copper jacket to support uninterrupted feeding, a boat tail that enhances the bullet’s ability to overcome frontal air resistance, and a lead core.
