The M193 specification calls for a 55 grain full metal jacket, which is by far the most common bullet to come out of AR-style rifles’ barrels. Its solid lead core and gilding metal jacket make the FMJ a completely nonmagnetic projectile, so there’s no need to worry about how your range’s magnetic ammo policy would apply to these particular range loads. The FMJ’s cannelure keeps it from shifting out of its seating while recoil jerks it around in the magazine.

This factory fresh ammo’s brass cases are noncorrosive Boxer-primed and reloadable. They are also brand new. You’ll notice they have discoloration around their mouths, but that’s just the harmless byproduct of the heat-treatment process which strengthened them at the factory. All cases would look that way if they weren’t polished following heat-treatment, and the discoloration will not affect performance in any discernible way.
