This cartridge is loaded with a 55 grain bullet, and its 3,200 fps muzzle velocity and 0.222 G1 ballistic coefficient (24” test barrel) are both what you could expect from a similar 5.56 M193 spec 55gr FMJ round. The key difference is the bullet design. It is a soft point, with a gilding metal jacket that keeps the bullet mostly intact as its supple lead core goes to work providing terminal expansion. This round reliably produces a wound channel that’s significantly wider than 0.224” in diameter, making it much more effective for bagging small and medium game than a simple FMJ!
PMC of South Korea fabricates all of their ammo’s components in-house using only the highest grade raw materials. You can trust these hunting loads’ virgin brass cases to cycle and reload well.
