Aguila stuck to the tried and true when they designed this cartridge. Its bullet is a soft point: essentially a full metal jacket with a copper-alloy shell that leaves its lead core exposed at the tip. The soft point mushrooms outward after hitting its unlucky prey, thus delivering the massive energy and large permanent wound column that spell swift death to medium game.

Aguila measured this round’s 2,810 fps muzzle velocity with a 24” test barrel. They have not disclosed its G1 BC at the time of writing, but we estimate it to be around 0.445. If we’re spot on with our guess, then this round will let you zero in at 200 yards through 1.5” high sights and witness about -7.9” drop another 100 yards downrange.
