Steel. It’s what makes Wolf ammo so affordable, and you’re going to find it in this round’s bullet. The 145 grain FMJ may have a bimetal jacket that attracts a magnet, but it’s plenty accurate for blasting targets and also too soft to damage a rifle barrel. This bullet is a fine choice for suppressor use as well!
These rounds’ steel cases are not appropriate for handloading. They’re a lot more affordable than brass, however, and they feed and eject reliably courtesy of their low-friction polymer coatings. Wolf loads Berdan primers because they are slightly less expensive to manufacture, but they are still non-corrosive like any modern Boxer primers.
This ammunition may fail to feed when loaded in a 5.56 mag. We recommend using a mag that is specifically designed for 300 Blackout.
