This round features a 150 grain flat soft point projectile. It boasts a faster muzzle velocity than the 30-30’s 170 grain bullet and a flatter trajectory because of it. Its nose profile is conducive to tubular magazines, as it lacks a point that could accidentally ignite a primer. Its soft lead tip commences rapid deformation immediately following impact, producing a thoroughly wide and deadly wound channel in the process. But the bullet penetrates deeply as well, held together nicely by its partial jacket that prevents fragmentation.
This round is fully outfitted, with a new production brass case, responsive and non-corrosive Boxer primer, and uniform charge of clean burning propellant. A perfect choice for hunting a variety of medium game with a lever gun!
