This round has a 150 grain bullet, the lighter common bullet weight for the 30-30. Such a bullet will rip out of a barrel at 2,390 fps giving you a flatter trajectory for all your buck hunting needs. This round’s bullet can topple a range of medium-sized game, for that matter, because it is a flat soft point. Its level nose profile makes it safe to load into a tubular magazine, and while it’s not the most streamlined it exerts a lot of energy simultaneously at the moment of impact.
The FSP’s jacket holds the bullet together during penetration, so it won’t explode into splinters that create too shallow a wound channel to affect the vitals. And because its lead core is exposed, this bullet still expands dramatically as it passes into a warm body. It’s not crazy wide expansion like a premium polymer tip bullet may have offered, but it’s still perfectly deadly to bucks and other woodland creatures in the hands of a capable hunter!
This round has a virgin brass case. It has a non-corrosive Boxer primer. It has consistently loaded, clean burning propellant. It’s very much a high quality hunting cartridge, so you, a high quality hunter, deserve a whole case of it. Still gotta pay for it though!
