This cartridge is loaded with a real light 75 grain projectile. Once the bullet’s flat base has promoted uniform propulsion down the barrel, the little jacketed hollow point clears the muzzle at a rate of 3,375 fps. So fast-flying a bullet can’t help but cut a flat and accurate trajectory straight to its target. The JHP undergoes such rapid terminal expansion that it actually self-destructs to some degree, creating a small flurry of sharp shrapnel in the process.
Federal’s JHPs are fully nonmagnetic, so you can train with this small game hunting ammo at any rifle range. The Minnesotan company’s new brass cases are reusable, and their primers and powder are both formulated to keep a rifle’s bore cleaner.
